Kabir was invited to represent DESTA at the 14th session of the Conference of Parties (COP 14) of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) held between 2nd and 13th September, 2019 in Delhi at IEML, Greater Noida. He was one among a selection of representatives of Indian research institutions and CSOs nominated by the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change for the convention.
