The paper, ‘Identifying Climate Adjacency for Enhancing Climate Action Using Systems Thinking and Modelling’ was published in the journal Systems (MDPI). The paper documents systems stories from four case studies where we applied systems thinking to understand how grassroot level socio-environmental projects in 4 regions across India had linkages with climate change adaptation and mitigation. These linkages were elicited using tools of systems thinking in a participatory manner with the agencies implementing these projects. The paper also has a concept system dynamics simulation model for generating climate change adaptation scenarios for one of the cases. The paper is based on DESTA’s work on mapping climate adjacencies of non-climate focused projects, carried out for Rohini Nilekani Philanthropies.
