DESTA kick-started a collaborative project, funded by GIZ, with EY India and AHAsolar Pvt. Ltd. as consortium partners under the RE Cities / Solar City Programme of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). DESTA is developing energy system models for two cities in India using system dynamics. The aim is to generate insights on how the energy transition across all sectors-transport,residential, commercial- could be planned, towards the mandate of making the cities Solar Cities.
